Not Sold Yet On the iPod Brand?                               

Overall, everyone who owns an iPod loves them. that fact is almost always true.

Some people still are not sure if they want to buy into the iPod brand.

This is mainly the case because, they may feel that once they have an iPod, they must only use sites compatible with Apple.

It is true that there are less expensive MP3 players out there, and some people think or feel that they are only paying for the Apple " Brand" name.

Apple-iPod  is THE most easily recognizable brand name for MP3 players.

The truth is, it is popular for a good reason.

Not only are their MP3 players excellent. You get the bonus of  "iTunes" thrown in .

Apples' own music download site is ITunes.

ITunes is a super place for downloading music, while keeping the price of legal music reasonable.

At only .99 cents U.S. a song, Apple ITunes has a history of forcing the competition to stay low-priced as well.

I Tunes is the internet’s largest music store and allows iPod users to download tracks directly to their computer or their MP3 player. ITunes is one of the biggest and most comprehensive sites for downloading music.

The ITunes popularity and reputation for "Great music at a good price" is HUGE.

The first generation of iPods were bigger than other MP3 players but they were hard drive based.

Apple switched to Flash based memory with the iPod Nano and this made the iPod Nano MP3 player much smaller. It's about as wide as a regular # 2 pencil.

The 2 GB iPod Nano can store about 500 songs, while the 4 GB iPod  Nano stores approximately  1,000 songs.

They are both available in either black or white.

Their small size does not make them more fragile, as you might think.

The bonus here however is that they are very durable and resistant to wear and tear.

In 2003, Apple released the 3^rd generation iPods.

These came bundled with Apple’s own iTunes software that was compatible with both Macs and Windows PC.

Apple iPods now has a 70% share of the MP3 player market as a whole.

Each time a new iPod is released it seems to outdo the previous version, while breaking into new ground in the process.

Conclusion?

The iPod is an excellent personal audio player. You will find it very hard to find another brand that is as good and at the same time, offers services comparable to iTunes. Not sold yet? You should be.
